My experience with the #FrontStepsProject

My mother-company Piper Brown Photography was part of the #FrontStepsProject that swept the nation a few weeks ago. This project, I believe, started in Needham, MA, and quickly spread as everyone everywhere pitched in to bolster their local economies.

I photographed 15 families as part of the Rhode Island Chapter effort inspired by Sara Zarella Photography. The families I photographed raised over $800, the Rhode Island Effort itself raised over $25,000.

It was so rewarding to be a part of this. I am a huge fan of random acts of kindness, and this whole effort was built on the premise of generosity and spreading joy. I photograph events because I love being a part of something bigger than myself. Being a part of this effort felt like the hug my soul desperately needed in this incredibly crazy time.

With the restrictions on sheltering-in-place easing in the near future, I’m going to be offering more family portrait sessions. I can come to your home and we can make some magic happen right on your front porch. Contact me and let’s plan your session today!
