Portrait Sessions | Wicked Tulips Flower Farm

Family Photos at Wicked Tulips Flower Farm

There’s nothing quite like kicking off the spring season with portraits made in beautiful flower fields. Emerging from the cold and dark of winter into the vibrant burst of color that is spring is one of the things I look forward to the most every year. For the past 4 years, I’ve celebrated the advent of spring with a romp through a flower farm - specifically a tulip flower farm. The Wicked Tulips Flower Farm in Rhode Island brings me such joy and happiness each year, with it acres of brilliantly colored blooms.

This spring, I photographed the most people I ever have - 50 people across 15 sessions. This equated to 3 visits to the farm, and with each visit, there were more flowers in bloom, and more spring to behold. Check out some of the glowing, happy, faces of families that I photographed in this video I made below!

The Wicked Tulip Flower Farm had two locations this year - one in Exeter, Rhode Island, and the other in Preston, CT. I encourage everyone to take a moment to visit the farm with their family and while you’re there, immortalize the moment with a family portrait. When was the last time your whole family was in a family portrait that you hung on the wall of your home? I know every year, you get school pictures that show your children growing, but do you have pictures that show your family growing and evolving too? Pictures of family gatherings are incredibly important to building and weaving the fabric of a family’s story.

While I would love to visit both farms, it appears that I am unable to bend the laws of space and time to afford me more hours in the day to do all the things I want. So I’ll settle for sharing some of my favorite pictures from my sessions. I hope you had a chance to visit the farm and enjoy the spring season. Cheers!
