What to expect with your tulip photo shoot

You’re booked, and I’m so excited!

Here are the four steps of your portrait experience at Wicked Tulips Flower Farm, North Kingstown.

1. The Consultation

Here's what happens right after you book:

First, you'll receive a confirmation email from me with everything you need to know before your session.

Second, I'll send you a style guide so you can plan your outfits with zero guesswork. Soft, coordinating colors work beautifully in the tulip fields.

Third, I'll reach out closer to your date with a quick prep reminder — arrival tips, location details, and what to expect on the day.

Questions before then? Just reply to any email or text me at (401) 287-4120.

Not sure what to wear? Here's my quick guide:

Do’s

✅  Soft, muted colors — sage, dusty rose, cream, tan, soft blue

✅  Coordinating outfits, not matching — pick a 2–3 color palette for your group

✅  Comfortable shoes — you're in a flower field, so sneakers, flats, or ankle boots are your best friend

Don’ts

❌  Busy patterns or bold graphics

❌  Bright neon colors

Every client receives a full style guide with more detail and color palette examples after booking.

2. The Session

On the day of your session, just show up, I'll take care of everything from there.

I know portraits can feel awkward. Suddenly you don't know what to do with your hands, the kids won't cooperate, and everyone feels stiff. That's completely normal, and it's exactly why I'm here.

My job is to guide you through every moment so you can relax and actually enjoy this. Your job is to show up and have fun.

Heads up tip!

Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early and set aside an hour and a half total. Your session is just 15 minutes, but you'll want time to wander the fields afterward — it's stunning.

3. The Premiere

I do things a little differently here.

During our consultation call, we'll schedule a short Zoom reveal, usually 30 minutes, where you'll see your favorite images for the first time. This is where you choose your five included images and decide if you'd like to add more.

Heads up tip!

Most of my clients invest $500 or more in wall art, print collections, and signature books — these make beautiful Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts.

It's worth budgeting for these before your session, since we finalize all product orders at the time of the reveal.

4. The Delivery

At your reveal Zoom, you'll select and download your digital images directly from your Pic-Time gallery.

If you'd like to order prints, wall art, or a signature book, we'll take care of that together during the reveal.

Print and artwork orders are ready in 2–3 weeks. If you're local, we'll meet to review your order together. Not local?

No problem — I'll ship everything directly to your door. And then you beautify your home.
